Do you suffer from unsightly skin tags or moles?
What are skin tags?
Skin tags are a small flaps of flesh-coloured tissue that hangs off your skin by a thin stalk. You’re most likely to find one in an area where your skin rubs together, or in folds, like your armpits, neck, eyelids, under your breasts, or in your groin. Skin tags can vary in size from just a few mm’s to a few cm’s wide and is estimated that half the population will experience having a skin tag at some point, so they are extremely common.
What are moles?
Skin moles are usually round or oval in shape and appear as spots on the skin and can vary in size. Their colour ranges from pink, brown, red, to black. Medically, the skin mole is also called as a nevus. Every human being is born with moles some have a few, some many and they can be located anywhere in the body. Abundance of skin moles is called dysplastic nevi which is a genetic condition that predisposes one for greater risk of developing skin cancer. Changes in a skin mole or multiple moles need immediate physician attention but most are benign, meaning they’re not cancerous and safe to be removed by a trained specialist.
A skin tag or mole is normally harmless and painless but you might want to have it removed if it gets in your way or it simply looks unsightly. For those visiting their GP regarding skin tags or moles, they will have found they can not be treated on the NHS as the treatment is regarded as a cosmetic procedure.
But don't worry at U:skin our professional experts can remove skin-tags and moles in a quick laser procedure with relative ease. They would be able to perform your consultation and treatment in just one visit.
The removal procedure

The treatment is quick and effective. We use the latest laser technology to treat the target area. The procedure results in the drying out of the tissue, which causes the skin tag or mole to fall off after only a few days. Once skin tags or moles are removed, they rarely return, however if you are prone to developing them, new ones may still form. Skin tags and moles are easiest to treat when they are small, in which case healing is very quick, and marks or scars are rarely visible post-treatment.
